  you will enjoy.\n\nFreya Hoffmeister, the International paddling sens
 ation will be speaking at the Blue Marlin Fish House on Saturday, June
  19th, at 7:00 PM. Come and join us for food and drinks as Freya recou
 nts her 332 day, 8500+ mile voyage around Australia; a journey that ea
 rned her the World Record.\n\nShe is a woman of action who, after kaya
 king for only a few years, set out to circumnavigate Australia. She su
 ccessfully completed the journey on December 15th and earned her place
  in history.\n\nDuring the formidable journey, Freya encountered huge 
 salt-water crocodiles, great white sharks (one of which left a tooth i
 n the hull of her boat), venomous sea snakes and deadly box jellyfish,
  massive surf, the challenge of coordinating freshwater and food dumps
 , hundreds of kilometers of sheer cliffs without any landing zones and
  devastating cyclones are some of the most daunting threats – not to
  mention her 8-day, 7-night crossing the 350-mile of the Gulf of Carpe
 ntaria. Despite the emotional and physical toll of paddling solo with 
 very limited human contact, in the tropical heat, Freya averaged upwar
 d of 35 miles per day for nearly year.\n\nCome early for refreshments,
  or for a meal; stay late for questions, answers, autographs, photo op
