Any road cyclists out there

I am looking for an effective but reasonably stable/compact way to carry my Canon 50D while riding my bike. Anyone got any suggestions. Looking for an alternative to a backpack.

Lowepro makes a full line of 'Toploaders' that work with a chest harness. I use the Toploader Pro 75 AW (all weather) for bike riding and when I'm hiking with my camera gear.
