I've seen a lot of strange things
since I've been in the swamp ...
But this one really takes the cake.

Late bloomers? I grow cypress trees from seeds. I have them in buckets. When I forget to water them, the needles fall off. When I water them, they turn green again.
Interesting. In my case it was a belated April Fools. Never ceases to surprise me what we see (and don't) out in the wild.
Some people drive down the road and dont see anything. Its only when you walk out ALONE that you start to notice all these interesting things. I always remember the day I was sitting quietly in a dome on a fallen cypress tree and a brilliant flourescent blue hummingbird visited me or the time I found a tiny hanging bat. I will always remember the baby raccoon staring at me, sitting on an airplant waist high, in a tree less than 2 feet away.. I might not have even noticed if I hadnt stopped walking. These little experiences amaze me..
Man I need to get back out in the swamp. I cant wait for my blisters to heal.
