Below is a link to a recap of a trip that Flex and myself did for 3 days and 2 nights (09/25-09/27) around the Cape Sable area.

That’s a hot trip guys! Did you do day trips around Lake Ingram and camp at the east and mid cape sites? I want to camp there this year, never been.

I was HOT!

Original plan was to go out the interior route through "Spoonbill Pass" as we did back in 2014:

However because of the extreme heat and lack of wind we decided to paddle in open water. We did Little Sable Creek, very cool, be sure to hit the correct tide! Did drive by's of both canal plugs, both were overflowing with the high tide! We camped on Mid Cape since it has the most beach left. East Cape has almost no beach anymore past high tide, NW Cape a lil better, but Mid is the nicest right now. Great camping, just some bugs ..lol!

Lake Ingraham we hit near high tide, otherwise stay in the main boat channel, which is well marked.

We still want to do this trip all on the inside, if you're interested. Now it's already much nicer, and there's a LOT of water in the Glades right now!
