Hi, I'm Keith W, the founder and moderator of the Everglades Exploration Network. If you want to know how and why I started this group, you can read my blog posting here. I've been canoeing and hiking the south Florida wilderness areas for about 11 years, and I intend to keep doing so until I can no longer lift a canoe paddle or shoulder a backpack. I live in St. Pete, about 300 miles from the Park entrance in Homestead, but I still manage to make my way into the Everglades and Big Cypress on a nearly monthly basis, regardless of the season, and a day doesn't go by that I'm not thinking about or planning my next trip south.
