House bill boosts Everglades restoration
Good news for the restoration effort.
"Everglades restoration would get $210 million of federal funds under a bill approved this week by the House Appropriations Committee.
The money would fulfill President Obama’s request for the fiscal year beginning in October. It would help pay for restoration of Indian River Lagoon in Martin County, improved water flow through Picayune Strand in Collier County and other construction projects."
