J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge

I don't know if they spray the island or what but I was over there last weekend and

there were no bugs.  Summer paddling is hot but my feeling is day trips are do-able

if at least we don't have to wear bug jackets.  Here's a unique way to see the

refuge, a Darling NWR Wilderness Waterway:  Start at Tarpon Bay Marina, follow the blue

line and end at Blind Pass Beach.

What makes me consider this is I have free shuttle service in July.

Thoughts?

Sweet!  My wife and I go down there every summer.  Will have to try it!
