Good news but I still wonder about ALL of the oil that is missing in action a.k.a. "the subsurface oil" and/or the chemical dispersant.
for sure Wayne. If you or I were to have a small oil spill and through some Tide laundry detergent on it to disperse it we would be fined a ton by the coast guard. Certainly the subsurface oil is still a big issue. I'm happy thinking that surface oil won't be getting into the mangroves though.
I am hoping that the feds are going to put forth some sort of speculation/theory as to where all of that sub-surface oil is and/or where it is going. No reason (for me) to just say it is gone out of hand. Personally, I think that the stuff will be showing up for quite some time as tar balls on beaches. While I am glad that it isn't APPARENTLY going to cause much of a problem for the Everglades, that is due to Mother Nature and the gulf currents and not anything that anybody did.
