Coleman Meals

Coleman has come out with camping meals made by Enertia that may be found at Wal-Mart (under $5.00). This may be old news or not.

I tried their Max Patch Mac & Cheese and found it quite good for being a camping meal.  The meal pouch has a window with water OZ levels so you know how much water you're putting in.  Below is a video of Tiny of Mini Bull Designs cooking up a Cheesy Tomato Pasta meal.

Some look good, I will try some soon, not sure about "Dirt and Worms" though. Since I don't have the luxury of a canoe I rely on dry food mostly, as you all know space is a premium in a kayak.

Looks like a pricey but delicious option if you like to bring freeze dried foods along.

 

Ted that is an interesting stove he is using in that video.....I'll look into his other videos to find out more.

Don't let food get complicated.

Instant oatmeal. Hard boiled eggs. Gnocci and jarred pesto. Canned oysters. Repeat as needed.

But don't scrimp on wine. If you are going to pack it, it might as well be drinkable.
