Crooked Creek Chickee

I just bought the new book "Paddling the Everglades Wilderness Waterway" from Holly Genzen and Anne McCrary and to my surprise it includes a new chickee near Crooked Creek, it says it replaces Sunday Bay Chickee.

 

My guess is that it must be near completion; has anyone been in the area recently?

Everglades Diary is great for getting coordinates to the chickees and campsites. Just don't follow the coordinates for Shark Point chickee. If you do you'll find yourself somewhere just off the west side of north Key Largo. I tried contacting the author of Everglades Diary a few years ago via email to let him know so he could change it but apparently he hasn't gotten around to it just yet.

The author/creator of Everglades Diary is the same as Everglades Exploration Network.

Great, then I guess I have let him know about the incorrect coordinates for Shark Point chickee.
