East River at Fakahatchee Bay

Water levels low at present.in the Big Cypress and Fakahatchee.The strong cold fronts can mess up the water levels in the bay and rivers. If you make the trip on a day with a strong north wind you can not rely on the tides to bring water back into the river for a return trip. A couple of weekends ago we tried to do the East River to Fakahatchee Island trip and had a hard time getting back to the put in. I posted the report on my blog.
