Personally I am not sure, but I doubt it is open enough to paddle... there is not much reason to keep it clear. I would bet that trying to work through would be life threatening this time of year due to the bugs.
I do believe that the larger creek to the right is open all the way to the next river to the east that feeds back to Ponce. I recently went through that creek on a boat to photograph the mature red mangroves that have somehow managed to avoid the hurricanes.
BTW... I don't recommend camping at graveyard.
Has anyone been to Graveyard since Irma ?? Planning a trip for the second week in April and may use it.
I have been there a couple of times. Actually the landing area is better than before the storm. Lots of trees down, but camping area is clear and additional sand piled up. Both trips I was there were bug free.
Thanks for the info, I guessed there might be more sand but that place was always buggy.
Actually, our experience this past December at Graveyard, our first visit, was enjoyable. Irma seems to have opened it up a bit, or at least there were very few bugs. There was a lot of blowdown but enough room to spread out a little.
Thanks, I will be there April 10th (hopefully), I will report back.
