Robert,

I am enjoying all your posts. It fascinates me that each year is unique, with respect to water. It is really the ultimate factor dictating conditions in the Glades and Big Cypress, and all life forms have to adapt. Evolution has made this possible in most cases, but there is a never-ending series of challenges and results. Wish I could live long enough to see them all.

You're right: each year is different, the spring before last (2010) was extremely wet.  This current one is right on average.  Drier than summer but as for now still water out there.
