Just started getting seriously interested in glades tripping and am looking forward to it. Most of my tripping is done in Ontario so this is a whole new deal. I will ask some dopey questions so please be patient.......

I like trip reports and slide shows and frequently share......again please be patient as my contributions may miss the mark on occasion. Here is a slide show of a recent trip.

Jeez...I just take 4 Arizona tea jugs full of water, the trick is to fill them with water a few months

before you use them, then rinse them otherwise your water will taste a little tea-ish.

Yakmaster, I guess we're just too crude.    What ever happened to just a bar of that hard water soap?

My bed pad is a piece of foam out of a sofa I found in the trash.   With all these fancy tuna packs I'm

getting to think there's no reason to bring a camp stove.

But don't listen to me, I don't know nuthin', I paddle around in 50 year old metal canoes.

to each their own. But I have had raccoons try to steal my water. Long ago I discovered many other uses for the Reliance containers.

Thin foam pads aren't for me on chickees and long ago I found out that I cant lift seventy lb canoes.  If it works for you dandy.. We all have to paddle our own trips.

For me it is that I can keep soloing into my eight decade.

And I really am not big into baths.. Now hair shampooing is another issue!

Geez......after all my big talk and every ones helpful suggestions I need to bail on my big trip. Dec 13 is the church dinner and I need to be there lest my beloved get irritated with me. That leaves no time for error before Christmas. Besides, paddle day and night without much time for fishing. Instead I am looking at doing a loop through gopher and charley creek. Looks like there could be some fish around.......7 days or so with 2 or 3 days devoted to exploring the bays between charley and gopher and finding the honey holes. Did I read somewheres about one of the larger bays being off limits?

I will add my trip report to Quetico this past summer if anyone is interested.

Well good thing you came to your senses and chose fishing and general laziness instead of a dual through trip :-)   I fished most of the bays and creeks from Turkey to Cannon Bay last year. Water level really dictates where you be able to fiish depends on time of year you are planning your trip. Did not notice any off limit bays in that area?

Nice trip report and beautiful walleye.

Vivian my plan is To generally fish up in the gopher creek/ charley creek area checking out pelican and rookery bays. Probably hole up at Darwin's place for a couple nights and spend a few days in that area.

Glad you liked the trip report. The nice walleye pic needs to be attributed to my partner......I'm the other guy, the good looking one ; )
I did a trip where I base camped overnight at turkey to fish Charlie creek then based camp overnight at Darwin's to fish the creeks and bays closer to backcountry. Cannon bay is also good fishing.
Yup that's the plan. Thanks for the tip on cannon.......I'll poke around on the day I arrive at Darwin. I'm sick of workin, I want to catch a fish.
