I'm heading south in the morning and passing through the BCNP on my way to the Park, and I was going to check on the Loop Rd rehab progress while I was there. When I checked the BCNP closures web page I no longer see the Loop Rd. listed there. Is it now open???

I dont know Keith I havent been out there.

The Loop Road is open.

I dont know how to start a new post so Ill add it on here.

Yes the Loop Road is open and if anyone wants to see Roseate Spoonbills there is a very good chance they will still be there. I saw eight beautiful large pink birds feeding in my old culvert swimming hole alongside a few immature birds and about 20 Gators. It was one of the most beautiful scenes I ever saw in my life! Unfortunately I had no camera,

Enter the Loop Road from the east entrance at Forty Mile Bend. Drive past the Indian homes and start looking on your left for culvert openings. Its the last culvert before the first campground before the old gas pumps . It was an unbelievable scene. I was there about 5 PM.

Dont forget to stop by the Indian BarBQ and tell the lady inside the store that Dale sent you.  Its next to the Francis Taylor landing by the tower on the Northside of the Trail.
