Flex, that was fun to read and your pictures are wonderful. I have a couple of questions: do you have the poles custom made? Is the longer one made of a composite or all of them aluminum? Looks like the one you use on the hikes is an off the shelf telescopic one.

I use all three types mentioned, the bigger ones I did custom make.. the aluminum one got extended so far that then I needed another, shorter one and that's the one from the hardware store..
