Everglades Exploration Network

Hello everyone, I'm new to this group and look forward to learning from the members.  I live up in East central florida and spend most of my paddling time along the Indian River Lagoon/Mosquito Lagoon. My wife and I also spend time every year in the backcountry of teh lower keys. This has made us more interested in Everglades and Florida Bay. We've now taken two trips to Cape Sable and some interior exploring and loved it so we're planning on heading back when we can.

We have several homebuild kayaks, CLC designs and a skin on frame greenland boat as well as a sailrig for to convert them into a sailing trimaran.  Recently we purchased a small cat ketch sailboat called a Sea Pearl 21 ( http://www.marine-concepts.com/ ).  This brings me to my question;

Is Little Sable Creek passable by kayak? What about the Sea Pearl? The masts easily can be dropped and it only draws about 6 inches. Is it traversable from the top of Lake Engrham to North cape in one tide cycle? Are tides a major issue?

Thanks for any help/insite you can give.
