Hey everybody,

I lost my ball cap in the swamp.
If anybody happens to find it please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

I lost a map in Whitewater Bay. It was touted as Waterproof. It was. But it did not float.  Also somewhere is a pair of sunglasses and we think its in the muck at Broad River Campsite.

Amazing how much stuff we find on the beach, too.

I lost 2 knifes. They fell out of the sheath both times.

Yes and not all of it good. There is a veritable trash dump on East Cape about midway along the main beach. I counted some forty black trash bags full and what seems to be a freezer.  Being in a solo canoe 23 inches wide I could haul none of it back to Flamingo.

One time we lost a flip flop on Naples Pier.  Somebody on the beach with a bathing suit swam out to get it for us.  Okay, that was a bad example.

When I was a kid I took my boat out to one of those spoil islands in Biscayne Bay that was full of trash. That was before they were surrounded in pink.http://blog.artbyveny.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/Surrounded-Isl...  I filled the boat with bags of empty beer cans. I thought I would cash in lol. My boat was overloaded but I only got a few bucks for the aluminum to pay for gas. But I cleaned up the island.

Its amazing how many bass fishing lures can be found upriver on the Turner. I have accumulated a collection lol.

I lost a lens cap for my DSLR in Rodgers River Chickee. I am 100% sure it doesn't float!

I lost two lens caps.  Now I just used a little pouch to cover the lens.

My best anti loss defense on chickees is a six foot square of packcloth, hemmed. It keeps all small items on the chickee, not under. On beaches it serves as a sandless kitchen area.
