Everglades Exploration Network

Anyone else read the article today in the paper about this? It's actually pretty frightening! Not sure if they can get to 20 feet because they aren't eating wildabeast and zebras but they are still very aggressive. Hopefully the few invasive crocs out there can be taken care of soon before they become a serious threat.

Which paper was this in, Dan? Jim

The Miami Herald

wow. not good. i have seen crocs (that i assume are american crocs) that are definitely in the 14' range. we told a local herpetologist where to find a few in particular (though it was 08, before the freeze or 10), and he said one of them was the biggest he'd ever seen in s florida... these american ones are impressive and scary enough... if the nile crocs are out there, someone is gonna have a problem, eventually.
