The plan will add a kayak launch at Tamiami trail on the south side of Old Tamiami Trail roadbed and more parking and raise park road near the tower to reduce road flooding. 

During the public meeting I asked about

1. Can canoes get a shuttle to the tower? They said yes, the current concession plan allows for occasional canoe shuttles to the tower for a fee! A special permit for backcountry camping is needed. 

2. Creating a guided loop to Gumbo Limbo Hammock like Nine Mile Pond? Yes, that could be done during high water periods when staff levels are sufficient.
