State wants bounty hunters to control pythons in Everglades

So, gator poaching may now be replaced by snake hunting? This could get interesting. Too bad so few of the old timers are still around, they could show the Park biologists a thing or two about tracking and hunting in the Glades. While I was crossing the Slough I had no fear of a gator attack, but the one thing that did concern me was a big python slipping over the side into my skiff while I was sleeping, so I slept with my camping machete unsheathed and the blade wedged up behind one of the inwales for those two nights.
