I was checking Roberts Go Hydrology site and I came across his picture. http://www.gohydrology.org/2012/07/the-sign-was-missing.html

It says:
WALK ONLY ON MARKED ROUTES ...

... CAMPS AND FIRES ONLY WHERE DESIGNATED

Does anyone know where is this sign? I hope its through private lands. I hope we arent losing more of our traditional rights.

This is a sign-in box for the Florida Scenic Trail, which is maintained by the Florida Trail Assoc. It could be the one at the trailhead on the Loop Rd but I'm not certain of that. There are sign-in boxes at various points along the Trail inside the BCNP.

Nothing is being lost here, the "rules" on the sign are generic for the entire FST which runs all the way up to the FL-AL border. The FST crosses many differently-managed public and private lands, and the rules on the sign may very well apply in many of those places, but you can walk and camp pretty much anywhere inside the BCNP as long as it isn't otherwise posted.
