Day 1 - Everglades City Canoe Outpost shuttled me from where I parked my car near the chokoloskee boat ramp back to new river strand off hwy 41/Tamiami Trail (just west of Kirby Storter wayside park). I had built a kayak cart for myself, but my partners wanted to put their kayaks on the cart too...bad idea.. We would be pulling through increasingly deep sawgrass for 2 days
