I greatly appreciate becoming a member of this group. Thank you.
Introduction
I have been a resident of South Florida for 52 years and originally come from the Chesapeake Bay region.
My interests hare biology and ecology. I have recently (5 years ago) become interested in Soundscape Ecology and have done some audio recording in natural settings (mostly in south-central Florida.
Basically I am curious and because of this, I have been canoeing, sailing, and just walking in the coastal regions and Everglades throughout my time in South Florida. I have recently retired and look forward to having more time to mess about in natural areas.
During my time down here, and in addition to my real-job, I have been a lecturer on Florida ecosystems and history with various adult education programs, been a volunteer interpreter-guide with the Florida Park service, held my "6-pack" license, been a part time commercial lobster and stone crab fisherman, and volunteer Regional Coordinator of the American Littoral Society.
I am a Florida Master Naturalist but am still curious and still learning.
Anyway, I am looking forward to being a member of the Everglades Exploration Network.
THanks again
Cheers
JB
