Yakmaster posted some heartbreaking pictures of the fish kill that just dismay me to no end. Are these pictures representative of the whole area, or were they due to tidal action bringing them down to the marina?
I'm just a rank noobie regarding the Everglades but I think that as best posissible this event should be documented as fully as folks are able.
Up here in South Carolina, not a soul knows of this catastrophic event. I intend to show the folks around me, but I think more documentation for history should be undertaken.
As a further note, you might consider putting these photos "front and center" when one clicks on the PHOTOS link at the top of the page.

As a complete catch and release fisherman for years, this just really bothers me, to put it mildly.
Is it as bad in the big bays, ponds, and deep holes?
As a child I saw pollution driven fish kills in the Potomac River of Virginia, and they pale by comparison.
This just confirms that I will be camping in February, to understand what went on.
Pardon if I'm rambling but things like this really hurt.
