Hell's Bay Put-in - Water Level?

Anybody have a report on the water level at the Hell's Bay dock?

I was there last weekend and there is enough water to get through the entire trail.

Hells Bay Landing is a hard one to predict.  There's a ridge on the north side of Florida Bay that holds

back the flow of water making that side of the highway very predictable using 251432080444100.  In fact,

it's right in sync, if the water station drops a tenth of a foot you will see a tenth of a foot drop on the

PVC pipe at the Noble Hammock Landing.  This is not so on the other side of the highway.  The elevation

drops steady out to Whitewater Bay from the ridge just south of Paurotis Pond allowing tidal pressure

to influence the Jungles.   Hells Bay Landing is too far inland to see daily tidal fluctuations but it does

have monthly fluctuations in addition to the seasonal water level fluctuations.  The good news is I have never seen

Hells Bay Canoe Trail unpassable it's just a matter of how much pushing you have to do instead of paddling.

More good news is once you get to about marker 40 it's always deep enough to paddle so what you see

at the landing is what you get, no surprises.
