A friend of mine wants to start kayaking and lives in the Immoklee area over by naples. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with any trails over there? Looking on google earth there looks like some navigable waters there, but was wondering about trails people have taken previously that would still be well wet this late in season. Any Suggestions for some nice mellow day paddlestuff to get her feet wet with (preferably with little to no portage or bushwacking)

Turner River.
Turner river is about 50 miles from her house, I was looking for soemthing more in the Corkscrew/Okaloachoochee area.
Your friend might want to check out the Calusa Blueway paddling trail network near Ft. Myers. Her location will make it difficult to find anything else nearby. Corkscrew and OK Slough aren't known for their paddling, especially in the dry season.
