Im a beginner at canoeing compared to most others here on this forum.  I cannot get through the thick Hydrilla. I wonder if there is a method that works?  Paddling doesnt seem to work for me.

Pole boating was common among Indians.  At a couple spots I was using the canoe paddle to do just that.  We got through it but we were two strong paddlers.  Just one of us in the same canoe would have been tough.
