Thats an odd shaped one. Maybe a ziptab 62-64 (top pic) or mid 60s pulltab with ring.
Speaking of odd finds, hiking in the swamp, I once found an old, large balloon, or parachute, badly decomposed on the ground, all twisted in the vegetation. I followed the cord up through the trees and back to the ground, where I found this package. I cut off the corroded and swollen battery pack, according to instructions on the box, and put the electronics in my pocket. I often find helium balloons but this one was much different.
It turned out to be an RS80 Vaisala Radiosonde NOAA National Weather Service ballon and I mailed it back according to instructions with the self-addressed plastic envelope and told them where I found it. I never heard back from them.
I did a quick search and I see someone else found one. http://www.darkerview.com/darkview/index.php?/archives/1322-RS80-Ra...

We found one of those too, ... and returned it... I never did hear back to what it said (or didn't say). Presumably it flew on the Trade Winds out of Miami.
cool
