I am heading out to Peace River to start the fall "camping" season with 18 fathers and sons. The campground delivers our gear to the site and we just paddle down with lunch and drinks in the boat.! The water level is at 11 feet which is flood stage. That will keep some of the crowd out of the river, which will be good. Little cool weather is heading down, maybe mid 60's up in Arcadia. After this I'll be siked for the 'Glades.

Had a good trip. The river was at 9 ft above normal, which gave us the opportunity to paddle off the main river. We were able to go 200 to 500 ft beyond the normal bank and travel through the forest. Some of the kids even tried the jungle route on their own and enjoyed the paddle much more after being bored just floating along at 3mph in the floodwaters. 12 miles in less than 3 hours, with just a light paddle.
