Question can anyone provide information on Collier Seminole area.

Are there any camp sites, areas to visit?

Any info would be great:

This is on their website:

Camping, Primitive

Primitive camping is available along the park's canoe and hiking trails.

Hiking: The primitive campsite for hikers is located approximately three miles from parking area along the six-mile hiking trail north of Highway 41. The site accommodates up to six people.

Canoeing: The primitive canoe campsite at Grocery Place accommodates up to six people or three small tents. Accessible only by boat or canoe, the site is located approximately nine miles from park boat basin.

Pets are permitted at the primitive sites, but not recommended. Downed wood may be collected for fires. There are no facilities at either site. Campers must carry in all supplies and carry out all trash. Bring bug spray. Check at the ranger station for availability or call (239) 394-3397.
Collier Seminole is a great place to put in. At this time of year you want to get out to the coast to camp because of heat and bugs. Grocery Place (inside ground camping) is Five miles from the parking lot. Closest shoreline beach is just under Ten miles. Gulivan Key is Twelve miles and Whitehorse is Thirteen; both are great camping locations. You can easily time departure and return times with the tides!
And how long have I been boasting about Collier Seminole State Park?!?!
This is THE ideal north terminus of the Wilderness Waterway, it's a good one
day paddle to Tiger/Picnic Key without the Everglades City honkly-tonk.
It provides another day for through trippers with the only thing damaging your vista
is Marco Island, at least it's on the horizon. Much more pleasant than the roar
of tourist airboats all around Barron River.
Oh for heavens sake just move the magenta line to come out Lopez River and
go to CSSP, now!
I have been looking at this area for some time. Thanks for the information might go down to this area in a few weeks.
