Everglades Exploration Network

Greetings!

Had the pleasure today paddling on the beautiful FEC. My girlfriend and I took their shuttle upto burnt bridge and did the 8 miles back to the outpost. Hands down one of the most beautiful and unobstructed rivers in S FL. We saw lots of birds of all sorts, even 2 turkeys that flew over the creek infront of us...of course I was google mapping b4 and after my trip. Looks like it'd be a fun run from way up creek, there are alot of primitive camp sites along the way (as long as the water isn't crazy high). So I researched,  has anyone heard of the Florida Wildlife Corridor?  Seems like a very cool project and they had a great write up on FEC. Just figured I'd sharewith yall and also wanted to know if any have done a EEN trip route on this creek. Cheers!

I do Fisheating Creek starting from Ingram two or three times a year. Hands down the prettiest waterway I've ever paddled. As far as 'lots' of primitive campsites upstream from Burnt Bridge, I'm only aware of two or three that aren't on private property.
