Posting Trail Conditions on EDE

We have had some calls for a way to post trail conditions in the ENP and BCNP, something like the Florida Trail Association has on their website. I'm opening this up to ideas or suggestions on how this can be done here using the tools that Ning provides, which ain't much. Unless somebody knows of a Ning app which would make this easy to do, I thnk we're limited to another forum category. Here is my idea:

Make the forum 'admin only' access for new posts, and new updates will be sent to the forum moderator to format and post according to whatever criteria we choose for the trail conditions. This will keep the information consistent at the top level. Replies should be open for anybody to comment on. Off-topic posts should be removed or moved to another forum category.

Personally, I am severely strapped for time between my day job and the four classes I take at night, so if anybody would like to step up and take on moderating such a forum, please feel free!

For now that works. If you noticed I've been adding to it since I started it.
I've been adding to it under the Wilderness Waterway Plus and I don't think it sends out a
message when I just save it. What I can is create a title that's obvious like "Waterway Conditions"
under you tell me what group "General" ? Then every time I modify it I'll do a reply simply stating
a change is made.

Your Wood River condition assessment top quality.
Move it to whatever group you think is best, rename it to something that can be quickly found
by someone searching the site and I'll add my entries following your format. When I make
updates I'll send out a reply notice that an update has been made.
This shouldn't get to be too much to handle because along about April condition assessments
will slow way down until the next season.
In the meantime I hope travelers will add or send me the information to add so it's not just you and
me doing assessments.
For me I'm only going to be doing short trips for the rest of the season, I don't do bugs and heat
we have too much good scuba diving off Miami during the summer months.
