Robert shouldn't the left axis be inches per week rather than day?

Is it an average weekly inches per day?

I think it is the average inches per day for a given week

I'll take that back, that would be way more rain than we get, but as a weekly average it is less than we get.

No, it's aggregate for inches per week.  The daily median and average (dotted and solid lines) are 7-day running averages.  Thus, the current year (bar chart) is comparable to the historical data.  Does that make sense?
