Memorial Plaque on Mormon Key

We just returned from a fantastic trip out to Pavilion and Mormon Keys.  While wandering around Mormon Key we stumbled across a memorial plaque that said "Daniel Ryan Williams 1983-2003 One of Life's True Adventurers".  Has anyone else seen this or know anything else about it?  See attached.

I googled his name and came up with a Daniel Ryan Williams born in 1983.   http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=171951746389   (We posted about the same time)  My guess is ashes.
