"LPK usually books up faster than  Flamingo. Is it Presidents' Day Weekend? Sometimes when they fill up deep for the big weekends, they'll open up the back loops."

Going to be making a trip the middle of the month to Big cypress for a night then riding on down to Flamingo the next day for 2 nights.  Looked at the reservation system and it says the first night we are planing on being in Flamingo it is booked. Is Long Pine Key also usually full  this time of year? We wouldn't be opposed to spending the first night at LPK then driving down to Flamingo the next morning. ThanksSee More

Hey man.  Sommer has said you spend lots of time in the everglades.  Do you have any experience with Little Sable Creek?

There is a book titled "Death in the Everglades, The Murder of Guy Bradley" which I highly recommend. The author takes what could be a one page story and makes quite a tale of it. The reason I recommend it to you is because of the chapter on Cuthbert finding the rookery that now bears his name which in and of itself is quite a story. Warning though, he was a plumer and he found it so he could decimate it.
